Holidays at Le Domaine des Amis aim to cater for lots of different interests. The following provides just a taster of what the area offers, small temptations to entice you to return and do the things you couldn't do first time round!

Chateaux: The Dordogne has more magical châteaux than anywhere else in France, over 1,000 in total.

Vineyards: Arguably the best vineyards in France - the wine lover or even wine dabbler will be in heaven. A lot of the caves are open for wine tasting - what could be more pleasurable!

Restaurants: Perigord is a gastronomic paradise. Our restaurants range from auberges (wholesome farmhouse cooking reigns supreme) to chic restaurants (delicious five star food and beautiful service accompanied by reasonable prices).

Countryside: The river Dordogne is the most beautiful in France and has made this area a wonderful experience for nature lovers. Pack a picnic and the Michelin Green Guide and drive lazily around this gorgeous region of France.

The Towns: Medieval towns, magnificent fortresses, beautiful castles, ancient bastides, outdoor cafés, private squares, boulevards, churches and museums, and Roman excavation sites all make for unforgettable days out.

Caves: Man began living in caves in this region about 400,000 years ago - some still remain. Les Eyzies with its exceptionally well-preserved wall paintings and archaeological artifacts, and Montignac, whose caverns of Lascaux are the most spectacular in the world.

Markets: Markets are one of the greatest pleasures of a French holiday, and ours are no exception. Bergerac, Issegeac, Perigueux and countless others all offer many hours of pleasure.
